Airport, Cairo. Two young women run over to the gate, flustered and stressing that the flight will leave without them, 20 minutes before it's due to take off.
Cafe, Harrow. A middle-aged woman repeats an anecdote about today's temperamental weather to the waitress and then to a friend on the phone five minutes apart.
Tube station, London. A young man with a 'Free Palestine' hoodie and Nottingham Forest cap frantically keeps an eye on the nearby police while peeing by the train platform, having failed to locate the public toilet.
Public park, Watford. A middle-aged man occupies himself with his phone, earphones in, as he ignores the chatty party of ten spread across the tarp enjoying the good weather.
Sports club, Cairo. An older man shields himself from the sun, engulfed in the contents of his phone as he ignores the folded up newspaper on his table and the loud gunshots emanating from pigeon shooting only 20 metres away.
